Project Overview

McVeigh Insulations have a successful trading past with Barr Construction and it was on the back of our reputation that we managed to secure the external cladding and rainscreen works for the new Rugby stadium in St Helens.  On the same site we were also awarded the Contract for the Composite Cladding to the Tesco store.

McVeigh Insulation Designers together with the Architects from Barr Technical Services developed the scheme from outline planning drawings to full Construction working drawings providing a simple solution that was quickly installed.  Composite panels provided the weather tightness, air sealing and thermal insulations while externally applied rainscreen systems contribute to the Architectural features displayed on the planning drawings.  Dez Millington supervised the site works for McVeigh Insulations, Vic Earlam Contract Managed the works.

Key Benefits/Successes

  • Early installation of the composite panels removed the rainscreen works from the critical path.
  • Enjoyable experience working on such a prestigious project.
