Project Overview

Following the recent successful completion of similar contracts, McVeigh SIPs were selected by Main Contractors BAM Construction to Design, Supply and Install the Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) at Skelmersdale and Ormskirk College.

The new state of the art campus will boast excellent facilities from hairdressing salons to a bistro, which will all be open to the public. At the heart of the college will be an atrium space which will provide a multi-storey social and learning hub containing a variety of informal spaces.

Over 6000m2 of 150mm Thick SIP walls manufactured into large format cassettes were installed with all the door and window openings preformed and finished with timber inserts.
