Project Overview

Shirland Primary was a great project working with a very thorough Derbyshire Council design team. Together with the Main Contractors Willmott Dixon and timber frame specialists Constructional Timber the design was developed to provide a neat workable solution for the structure and building envelope.

150mm thick panels were used for the walls and 180mm thick panels were used on the roof providing a very thermally efficient building.

Key Benefits/Successes

• Quality design team, Main Contractor and co subcontractors made the whole process and enjoyable one.
• Fully integrated SIPs walls and roof system easing the thermal continuity and air sealing details.
• Easy integration of the timber based SIPs with a Glulam structural frame.
