We have had a busy final quarter of the year, a few really interesting projects drawing to a close and some exciting product development nearing completion. We’re all looking forward to a good Christmas break ready for what’s looking likely to be another eventful year.

St Helens Rugby Stadium and Tesco Development

McVeigh Insulations have just completed the composite wall cladding and Rainscreen panel systems on the new stadium for St Helens Rugby Club and the adjacent Tesco store. Named Langtree Park and with a 17,980 capacity, the first match is scheduled for 20th January 2012 verses Widnes Vikings. Working for Barr Construction and their in-house design team, McVeigh Insulations developed the details and Value Engineered solutions. Vic Earlam and Dez Millington managed the project for McVeigh Insulations which has been another great success for our business.

Timber Cassettes (Warmcel Insulation Fill)

McVeigh Insulations have added timber cassettes to our range of products. The cassettes constructed using engineered joints, sheathing board facings and insulation fill provide a cost effective solution for long spanning roofing solutions. We can pick and choose all the components to suit each application which means we can offer cost effective solutions for project specific requirements. We have used them on a number of projects now and the fact they can eliminate the majority of the secondary support requirements simplifies the design which means more savings and quicker build programmes. We can also now offer a Warmcel insulation fill which is a ‘Carbon Positive’ recycled newspaper. As well as being extremely fire resistant the environmental credentials are remarkable. Air Tight

McVeigh Insulations have been awarded a Contract to Design, Supply and Install SIPs to a really high specification. Through wall U values of 0.1W/m2K and less than 0.6 air changes per hour. To help gain confidence of the design team a ‘mock up’ room complete with a triple glazed window unit was constructed in our yard and tested for air leakage.  The preliminary results look great with a reading of 0.26 air changes per hour.

Sainsburys Heaton Park

Sainsbury’s Heaton Park has recently been completed,  McVeigh Insulations were awarded the Contract by Barr Construction to supply and install over 6000m2 of composite wall cladding.  The store is now open for the busy Christmas trading period.  Malc McVeigh managed the contract and said ` the site had really restricted access, but with regular coordination with the site team the installation went well’
