Company History
McVeigh insulation formerly C. M. Coote was brought into the McVeigh family by Fred McVeigh in the 1950s. Originally general builders but soon established a niche market in the refrigerated display and coldroom cabinet business.
Fred’s sons Don and Malc soon joined the company as apprentice carpenters and both worked in the workshop fabricating and installing the timber frame coldrooms. As the frozen food industry increased in popularity the coldstores increased in size and subsequently so did McVeigh Insulations.
In the later years more McVeigh family members (Jim, Matt and Andy) have joined the business using the same apprentice carpentry induction and subsequently we have a real hands on practical team.
These days Coldstores are not the only buildings that require high levels of insulation and low levels of air leakage, at McVeigh Insulations we understand the issues and can apply the robust coldstore principals to any modern building.
